Adamek’s dreams of becoming world champion in three weight categories are probably now over, observers said after the uneven fight in Chicago on Saturday.

The Polish veteran is a former world champion in the light heavyweight and cruiserweight classes.

Adamek, who will turn 42 in a few weeks, had hoped that he would prove faster and smarter than 30-year-old Miller, who weighed in at 144 kg, 41 kg more than the Pole.

But that appeared to have been a pipe dream, with Miller’s physical dominance evident just seconds into the fight.

Miller landed a massive right uppercut early in the second round and then followed up with another. Adamek was left in a squatting position. The referee stopped the fight.
