French Lick casino becomes first in area to offer sports betting


The first casino in the area has started offering sports betting. On Friday morning, the French Lick Casino unveiled a new gambling area called Sports Book. The 3,000-square-foot space features two LED video walls, 18 TVs, eight betting kiosks and three betting windows. The area can also accommodate 100 guests. Patrons will be able to wager on football, basketball, baseball and more. The casino also plans to launch online betting, in partnership with Rush Street Interactive in late 2019. The Horseshoe Casino in Harrison County, Indiana will also open its sports betting facility next week.Indiana recently became the 12th state to legalize sports betting.
